Welcome to Yarmouth and the Coal Shed Music Festival

Along with our Coal Shed Music Festival, there is a lot to celebrate in Yarmouth. As an historic seaport, the waterfront has always been a busy spot, both for work and play. The port of Yarmouth, once renowned for its shipping trade is still at the heart of the world’s largest lobster fishery. Yarmouth remains as the hub for business and commerce in the southwest region of Nova Scotia, servicing the approximately 70,000 people who live in the tri-counties of Yarmouth, Digby and Shelburne.

This summer promises to be a great time around the town’s beautiful and historic waterfront. Don’t miss the Canada Day celebrations on July 1. Waterfront entertainment is a hallmark for this celebration and a list of entertainers will be coming soon!
